As per Sec139AA of The Income Tax Act 1961, it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar by 30th September 2021, or else:
1. PAN will become inoperative and Form15G/H cannot be submitted and;
2. TDS will be deducted at 20%

The government had extended the date for Aadhar and Pan linking. The last date for linking Aadhar and PAN card is set as 30 June 2021. The previous date was 31st March 2021. In the Twitter handle, Income Tax Department had announced the extension date as 30 June 2021.
